The BC municipal election results are in, and the Canadian Taxpayers Federation would like to congratulate all of the individuals across British Columbia who put their names forward to serve the public. It’s a big, bold step to offer yourself in public service, and we taxpayers appreciate your efforts.
We are especially pleased that ten candidates who signed our Contract with Taxpayers were elected, including:
Several other Contract-supporting candidates came very close to winning seats, including Abbotsford’s Kevin Chapman and Vince Dimanno, Burnaby’s Lee Rankin, Colwood’s Rick McKay, Fort St. John’s Don Irwin, Hope’s Cindy Koszegi and Walter Robinson, Langley Township’s Dan Sheel, Quesnel’s Ron Paull, Telkwa’s Adam Ethier, Vancouver’s Bill Yuen, and Whistler’s Steve Anderson.
The CTF looks forward to working with these ten elected officials in the coming months to introduce Taxpayer Protection Bylaws to their city halls.
